Ingemann® Arcus: high-impact diffusion for demanding environments

Ingemann Components® introduces Arcus – a high-performance polycarbonate diffuser sheet engineered for lighting applications where durability, safety, and optical performance are equally critical. Developed for industrial facilities, Arcus is designed to withstand the challenges that conventional diffuser materials often struggle to handle.

Ingemann Arcus diffusers for high-impact diffusion in demanding environments

Excellent light quality

Arcus is designed to deliver high optical performance without compromising visual comfort. Available in 60%, 70%, 80%, and 90% light transmission levels with identical optical properties across the two available thicknesses, it provides effective diffusion while maintaining high light output.

Its advanced optical design creates a soft, uniform illumination effect, making Arcus an ideal choice for LED panel lights, downlights, and other applications where consistent light quality is essential.

Built for demanding environments

From transport hubs and industrial facilities to public infrastructure and other high-traffic spaces, lighting systems are exposed to accidental impacts, heavy use, maintenance activity, vandalism, and extreme temperatures. These conditions can damage standard diffuser materials, resulting in increased maintenance, downtime, and safety concerns.

Manufactured from optical-grade polycarbonate (PC), Arcus is engineered to withstand these challenges. Its exceptional impact resistance and wide operating temperature range help luminaires maintain reliable performance in environments where durability is critical.

Engineered for long-term performance

Arcus is available in thicknesses from 1,5 mm to 3 mm, with a standard sheet dimension of 3050 x 1220 mm and custom sizes available on request. The sheet features a dual-sided texture surface – one side with a coarse matte finish and the other with a fine matte finish.

Key benefits:

  • Very high impact resistance for increased luminaire protection
  • Excellent diffusion combined with high light transmission
  • UV-resistance with UL F1 approval
  • Reduced replacement frequency and lower maintenance costs over time
  • Easy thermoforming, cutting, and machining
  • Preferable for applications with requirements for increased operation temperature
  • Cost effective
